Why won't the American government ban homosexuality?

This isn't Iran. But if radical anti-gay pressure groups and churches have their way, it will happen. The anti-gay jihadists are already testing out their anti-gay agenda in Uganda. If it works there, they will begin criminalizing and murdering gay Americans as soon as they can get enough seats in Congress to do it.
