Why we have to pay salaries to the PM and MPs ?

We should give them a loan to be pay back as soon as they have left parliament, and the loan could be overridden if they are elected for a further 5 years, that way we can be sure that they will honour their word and will make what they have promised in their manifesto. After all students now days have to pay for their education and they are not millionaires...
