Otterbox defender case for iphone 4. earphone jack hole dont line up?

so i just got the iphone 4 and bought an otterbox defender case. I noticed that the earphone hole through the silicone flap does not line up with the earphone jack on the phone? does anyone else have the problem? have to flip it up to plug in earphones....
