Is a Bachelor of Science degree an honours degree?

A friend of mine has a degree certificate that states that he has a Bachelor of Science degree, but he's nto sure if this is an Hons degree. He knows that it wasnt a first or a second class., but thinks that it could be a third. Does it look like it could be a third for anything below would surely just say pass and not a BSc. Is this right?
