Does the Split ender maxi kit work?

I have been thinking of buying the split ender but im wondering if it works. I straighten my hair almost every day so it would really come in handy because i hate cutting it. Also does it thin out your hair? Does it really work? And yes please dont tell me to go watch videos on youtube because i already did and they were not very helpful.
